Workshop/Class 12

Workshop nameGoogle Class Writing for Scholarship and Selective tests
DescriptionThe Google classroom aims to help students in narrative and persuasive writing to reach a competitive level in scholarship and selective school tests.

The class includes 10 pre-recorded video lessons designed to help students write a short narrative (stories) to a competitive standard. The lessons employ a hands-on approach to writing with theory only introduced as necessary to improve writing.

Each week, students will complete a timed practice writing task using Mathemafix's Selective Writing module. Students can choose a much slower pace of learning if they wish to. Parents can mark for their own kids or request marking (on demand) at $15 per task. This gives parents the flexibility to decide how much effort students should put into writing (only worth about 10% of the selective school test but writing is very important for school English mark and scholarship tests).

There are also 3 separate persuasive writing lessons which will help students gain better English marks at school for the selective school application and some scholarship tests.
